Privacy, sources and local storage
This notice describes the website implementation as of 1 October 2026. Dharma In You is a project of Prem Prasad Devkota. Contact: connect@dharmainyou.com.
Reading the site
The site does not have user accounts, a newsletter form, a payment form or a contact form. Its hosting and delivery services necessarily receive technical requests such as your IP address and browser information when serving a page. These requests support delivery and security. Infrastructure providers may keep operational logs under their own policies; this website does not expose a visitor-level analytics dashboard.
Your practice checklist
If you use the homepage's daily practice checklist, your choices are saved in your browser under the local-storage key dharma-in-you-ritual. This stores completion choices, not your name or email, and the site's code does not send them to us. Reset the checklist or clear this site's browser data to remove the stored choices. They otherwise remain in that browser until removed.
Fonts, media and external links
Google Fonts supplies the typefaces used on these pages. Loading them sends a technical request to Google. See Google Fonts privacy information. Sita Ram is delivered by Metricool's media service. Radha Krishna is delivered through this website's AWS hosting and content delivery network. Those providers receive connection information necessary to deliver the file. Videos do not autoplay and are not preloaded by this site's player.
Social-media and source links lead to other websites with their own privacy practices. This site uses ordinary links rather than automatically loading social-media embeds.
Email enquiries
If you email us, the message contains your email address and whatever information you choose to provide. It is handled through email services to respond to the enquiry and keep relevant correspondence. Please provide only what is needed. Contact us to ask about retention or deletion of a particular message; do not assume deleting your browser data deletes an email already sent.
Advertising and analytics
AdSense ownership verification is present through a publisher meta tag and an ads.txt file. The AdSense ad-serving script, Google Analytics and Metricool website tracking are not active in this version. The practice checklist uses local storage, not an advertising cookie. If advertising or optional tracking is introduced, this notice and the relevant consent choices must be updated before it runs. This page is not itself an advertising consent-management platform.
Your choices and enquiries
You can contact us to ask about personal information relating to you and request access, correction or deletion where applicable. You may also raise a privacy concern with the UK Information Commissioner's Office. Some service providers operate internationally; contact us if you need details about a particular processing activity before supplying personal information.

Bhagavad Gita sources and editorial approach
Our Gita lessons retain their chapter and verse numbers. Source reading is collected here so learners can follow a lesson without leaving it. Chapter 1 follows the Sanskrit and verse divisions in Swami Mukundananda’s edition, including its division at 1.28–1.29. Our early 2.47 pilot and reading guide also consult A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupāda’s edition. We identify these as particular interpretive perspectives, not a single view shared by all Hindu traditions.
- Swami Mukundananda — Bhagavad Gita, Sanskrit and commentary
- A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupāda — Bhagavad-gītā As It Is
The ancient Sanskrit is distinct from our original brief English meanings, explanations, everyday examples and reflections. Modern examples illustrate an idea; they are not events described by scripture. Devotional portraits are artistic interpretations. Independent pronunciation and specialist review remain pending for production previews. Detailed verse-to-source records are retained in our production records.
For a correction or a passage-specific reference, contact connect@dharmainyou.com with the chapter and verse number.
Your Gita study progress
Updated 8 October 2026: when you use the Gita study checkbox or choose a revisit date, your passage reference, studied choice and revisit date are saved in this browser under dharma-gita-learning-v1. These choices are not sent to us and do not include a name or email. They do not sync to other devices. Clear them from the Chapter 1 progress panel or by clearing this site’s browser data. No learning account or notification reminder service is currently active.
The Share button opens your device’s share menu where supported, copies the public page link, or shows a link you can copy. Nothing is posted automatically. If you share through another service, that service handles the information under its own practices.
Dharma Radio
Added 12 October 2026: when you use Dharma Radio, the station you chose and the place you reached in it are saved in this browser under dharma-radio-v1, so that you can carry on later. This is not sent to us, does not include a name or email, and does not sync to other devices. Clear this site’s browser data to remove it. As with any page or film here, our hosting service receives the technical request for each recording you play.
The small radio button on other pages uses the same saved place. If you add Dharma In You to your home screen, your browser also keeps copies of the pages and styles on your device so that they open without a connection; films are not stored, and audio is stored only if you press “Save for offline” on the radio page (remove it there at any time). Removing the app or clearing this site’s browser data removes those copies. The app has no account, no notifications and no tracking.
Verse cards
Added 12 October 2026: the verse card picture is drawn on your own device. A name you type for a greeting is used only to draw that picture; it is not sent to us and is not saved. If you press Share, your device’s own share menu takes over and the service you choose handles the picture under its own practices.
Further scripture acknowledgements
Our source records also include IIT Kanpur’s Gita Supersite; the Vedic Heritage Portal; Wisdom Library editions and commentaries on the Upanishads, Yoga Sutras and Ramayana; VivekaVani; Swami Nikhilananda’s Upanishad translations; and Max Müller’s Upanishad translation. References and interpretive perspectives are retained in our production records. Source acknowledgements are presented here as plain text so they do not interrupt reading or playback.
