Narration transcript

Welcome to Dharma in You. This is the beginning of our journey through the Bhagavad Gita.

The Gita opens on the battlefield of Kurukshetra, before the fighting begins. Arjuna sees relatives, teachers, and friends on both sides. He struggles with what victory could mean at such a cost. His body trembles. Overcome with sorrow, he sets down his bow.

Krishna is beside him as his charioteer. Their conversation begins with a human being who does not know what to do. We will keep this setting in view as we explore the teaching.

Our journey begins with Chapter One. Then we will move through every chapter in order, from Chapter Two to Chapter Eighteen, one passage at a time. We will explore action, knowledge, meditation, devotion, and the questions that connect them.

Each lesson will offer the Sanskrit verse, its context, a brief meaning, and one everyday reflection. We will make clear where the scripture ends and our own reflection begins.

The film on Chapter Two, verse forty-seven, is a preview of the voice and visual style of this series. The complete learning path starts at the beginning.

For today, take one quiet breath. Notice a question you are carrying. You do not have to force an answer. Make room to listen.

We begin with attention. We continue with sincerity. Welcome to the Bhagavad Gita, with Dharma in You.
