Speaker: Krishna, addressing Arjuna.

The shloka

कर्मजं बुद्धियुक्ता हि फलं त्यक्त्वा मनीषिणः ।
जन्मबन्धविनिर्मुक्ताः पदं गच्छन्त्यनामयम् ॥ ५१ ॥

Brief meaning

The wise, acting with disciplined understanding and releasing the fruits, are described as freed from the bondage of birth and reaching a state beyond suffering.

In the conversation

These verses connect relinquishing fruits with liberation and describe discernment becoming steady beyond confusion and competing instruction. The goal is not contempt for learning. It is a transformation in understanding, so that hearing more words is no longer mistaken for the whole of practice.

Everyday reflection

You read several pieces of advice about building a daily habit. Each offers a different method, and searching begins to replace doing. Choose a modest, sensible practice and try it attentively for a defined period. Keep notes, learn from experience and seek reliable guidance when needed. Do not declare yourself beyond study; simply notice when collecting another opinion becomes avoidance. Which question genuinely needs more information, and which next step is already clear enough to begin?

Consider today: Reflect on the spiritual aim beyond immediate reward.
