Teaching film · Sanskrit · Everyday reflection

Our original brief meaning and reflection accompany the Sanskrit below.

Context, Sanskrit and lesson transcript

Sanjaya turns our attention to Krishna and Arjuna, together on their chariot.

ततः श्वेतैर्हयैर्युक्ते महति स्यन्दने स्थितौ।
माधवः पाण्डवश्चैव दिव्यौ शङ्खौ प्रदध्मतुः॥१४॥

Brief meaning, in our own words. On a great chariot drawn by white horses, Krishna and Arjuna sound their divine conches.

Madhava refers to Krishna. The Pandava in this verse is Arjuna. Sanjaya is still the narrator; this is not yet Krishna’s teaching dialogue.

Here is our everyday reflection. Before a difficult conversation, notice who can help you meet it with clarity. Allow a moment of steadiness before you speak.
